Paula Land
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Paula Land began her professional life as Lt. Paula Humphreys, USMC after receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree from Roanoke College. She transitioned to audiology in 1984, earning a Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders – Audiology from the University of Texas at Dallas and later received the Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida in 2011.

Dr. Land is Board Certified in Audiology, holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Audiology and the Tinnitus Practitioners’ Association. Having practiced principally in medical diagnostic settings, Dr. Land opened her private practice in 2009. She offers complete hearing health care including comprehensive audiological and tinnitus evaluations and services.
Continually evaluating current and future technologies and professional best practices, Dr. Land believes that only when these are combined with one on one, face to face, individual care are the best results for alleviating the difficulties caused by hearing loss and bothersome tinnitus achieved. Dr. Land is certified in tinnitus management and has served as an offsite clinical supervisor for the University of North Texas Department of Speech and Hearing and the Doctor of Audiology Program at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Amanda Atwood
Office Coordinator
Amanda is our talented Office Coordinator who keeps the office running smoothly. From handling insurance claims to greeting patients to performing small hearing aid repairs, she helps with many tasks. Amanda is a Combat Veteran and holds Honorable Discharge. She has valuable experience in medical
offices, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, and animal control. She is a Certified ACO and uses all of her knowledge to better assist our patients. She loves providing patient care and will go above and beyond
to help anyone.
Amanda is a mom to four kids who are her life. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing soccer, and traveling.

How We Give Back to Our Community
Our audiologist, Dr. Land, is an active member of the Irving community. Dr. Land served in the United States Marine Corps before earning her audiology degrees. Now, she is a part of the Marine Corps League and holds local, state, and national offices. As a Veteran, Dr. Land is honored to help fellow Veterans with their hearing health.



Insurance
We do work with a number of insurance providers to better help you afford hearing healthcare. If The Hearing and Tinnitus Center of Dallas-Fort Worth is a preferred provider with your insurance company, we will directly bill your insurance for payment. If you are unsure about your insurance benefits and if hearing aids are covered, please contact the toll-free number on the back of your insurance card.
Does Medicare Cover Hearing Care?
Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) will cover the diagnostic hearing exam only if your primary care physician orders these testes based on symptoms, conditions, or complaints that would require medical treatment. Medicare does not currently cover regular hearing exams or treatment, including hearing aids or exams for fitting hearing aids.
